Hi! I’m Cathy, founder of Next Step English. I help adults and children learn English with confidence and purpose.

My passion comes from my mother, who immigrated from Peru and worked hard to learn English while raising us. Watching her persistence taught me that it’s never too late to learn.

I’m a mom of three, a dog mom to Lucky, and hold degrees in Sociology, Applied Sociology, and ESL certification. My background gives me the tools to teach with empathy, cultural awareness, and practical strategies.

Next Step English is for people like my mom—determined and ready for a better future. I believe language is more than words; it’s a tool for connection and empowerment. My mission is to guide learners toward success while supporting them every step of the way.
